Domicile

This is a floor plan of my bedroom. There is a closet in the lower part of my room. My room is about 11x15' with 3 doors and an exterior double hung window. The wall partitions are made of 8' wood studs and plasterboard finishing with a white latex paint.

The cross section shows the window and a header and double top plate. The window frame is also sketched in there also.

Mock Wall-Perry Street

The sketch to the left is of the mock wall assembly cross section. There is a Hokie Stone exterior with a pre-cast concrete botton on one side, while the other is CMU. Both have a CMU foundation. There is a black vapor barrier and an air gap in between the two sides of the wall.

Drip Pan

Steel supports run along the top of the structure. Steel cables extend down and support the drip pan with a bolted connection. There are also several pipes for the sprinkler system. The main unit sits on small steel support beams just above the drip pan and sprinkler system.

Bishop-Favrao Hall Stairwell

This is a sketch of a stairwell in Bishop-Favrao Hall. As sketched, the stairs are steel with concrete treads. A steel piece and steel "Z" shaped treads support the stairs. A hand rail is located just above the stairs for safety precautions.

The landing pads are concrete with steel support beams and a steel pan.

A close up view of 3 risers and of the top landing pad are shown in Section "a" & Section "b".
